Green Cloud Renews ISO 27001, CSA STAR and PCI/DSS Certifications

New Certifications Recognizes Green Cloud’s Commitment to the Highest

Security Standards and Compliance Levels

GREENVILLE, SC (July 25, 2017) – Green Cloud Technologies (“Green Cloud”), a 100% channel only, Cisco-Powered cloud provider, today announced it renewed ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance STAR, and Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) Level 1 certifications.

ISO 27001 is a global security standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and Green Cloud’s certification validates the company has a systematic and ongoing approach to manage sensitive company and customer information. Furthermore, ISO 27001 certification ensures that Green Cloud’s information security management practices are effective and not merely compliant.

Green Cloud also recently renewed their CSA STAR certification, a rigorous third-party independent assessment, and the industry’s most powerful program for security assurance in the cloud that encompasses key principals of transparency, rigorous auditing and harmonization of standards. With this Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) certification, Green Cloud is part of the Security, Trust & Assurance Registry (STAR), a free, publicly accessible registry where cloud service providers can publish their CSA-related assessments.

Additionally, Green Cloud renewed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a widely accepted set of policies and procedures intended to optimize the security of credit, debit and cash card transactions and protect cardholders against misuse of their personal information. The PCI DSS was created jointly in 2004 by four major credit-card companies to assure customers and vendors that their financial information is protected to the highest standard against identity theft and fraudulent.

“Green Cloud’s security arrangements are constantly fine-tuned to keep pace with changes to the security threats, vulnerabilities and business impacts, and these certifications validate our commitment to our systematic approach,” said Dan Timko, Green Cloud’s CIO. “Our partners have all the tools they need to design and deploy powerful solutions for their customers that are backed by the best-known security measures in the industry.”

Green Cloud Technologies was founded in 2011 and today is the largest independent channel-only cloud IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) provider in the country. Experiencing a 5-year growth rate in excess of 6,700% since it was founded, Green Cloud helps channel partners bring their customers to the cloud with turn-key, cloud-based infrastructure solutions and world-class data center facilities built on industry-leading platforms such as Cisco, VMware, and Tintri.
